Gentle Yoga for Seniors
With regular practice, a Senior maintains health and vitality. Movement and postures support joint health while aiding circulation, digestion and respiration. Special attention is paid to building strength and balance. Breath practices and meditation help alleviate stress and anxiety while supporting spiritual awakening and development. Frequent use of chairs, blocks and straps enrich the practice while providing stability.
Small group classes are taught locally throughout Manhattan. Private instruction is available.
Stephanie is sensitive to her students’ range of abilities, prior injuries and varied understandings of yoga principles. Her guidance is gentle and tactful; her voice is calming and soothing. Her classes are varied, and concentrate on balance, strengthening and flexibility, so important as we age. We are very fortunate to have her as our teacher.

Stephanie is an amazing teacher and creates an inspiring class. Most days I take her class I go in feeling stressed and stiff after a long day at a desk job and afterwards, I literally feel like I went on vacation for a week. She has a deep knowledge of yoga, is down to earth and kind and every class is carefully thought out and perfectly sequenced. I highly recommend Stephanie as a yoga instructor.
